Seafood Festival – The ultimate gathering for seafood lovers in the Algarve ! Held in Olhão for over 30 years, this festival is a true celebration of the ocean’s bounty, the Ria Formosa, and Portuguese festive culture.
It’s also the perfect opportunity for those who haven’t yet discovered Olhão to explore an authentic gem of the Algarve.
About the Festival
The Seafood Festival in Olhão is one of the most unmissable culinary events in the Algarve, attracting tens of thousands of visitors each year. Renowned for its exceptional seafood quality, live concerts, and unique atmosphere, this festival is a true feast for the senses. It offers a unique opportunity to savor a wide variety of fresh seafood, caught in the waters of the Ria Formosa, including shrimp, oysters, clams, and many other delights. Local specialties such as arroz de marisco (seafood rice) and cataplana (a stew cooked in a traditional pot) promise an unforgettable gastronomic experience.

Music Line-Up & Entertainment
The 2025 edition set the bar sky-high and was praised as one of the best in the festival’s history, with an outstanding line-up: D.A.M.A, Nininho Vaz Maia, Xutos & Pontapés, Ivandro, Richie Campbell, and Menos é Mais lit up the Jardim Pescador Olhanense.
The concert by Menos é Mais — a world-famous Brazilian group — was sold out, confirming the Festival do Marisco’s status as one of the major summer events in the Algarve. In addition, all concerts were broadcast live by Rádio Comercial, giving this edition exceptional visibility.
Year after year, the Municipality of Olhão and Fesnima keep improving the experience: larger venue area, better crowd flow, top-quality performances and well-curated entertainment.
This year, the festival will take place from 10 to 15 August 2026, with events scheduled every evening from 7:30 pm to 1:30 am. The main concerts will start at 11:00 pm and will feature renowned artists:

The 2026 ticket office isn’t open yet. Tickets will be available for purchase on-site or online via Ticketline once sales begin.
For reference, 2025 prices: €10 for adults, €5 for children aged 7 to 12, and free entry for children under 7. 6-night pass: €45 (adult) and €22.50 (child 7–12).

A Unique Experience
Beyond the concerts, the Festival do Marisco is a delicious and friendly experience right in the heart of Olhão, overlooking the Ria Formosa. In 2025, the venue was expanded to offer greater comfort and accessibility, with a variety of food areas and relaxing spaces.
Good news for every taste: in 2025, the festival introduced vegetarian options for the very first time, alongside its famous seafood and shellfish, plus choices for smaller budgets such as pizzas and sandwiches. Perfect for families and groups of friends — even for those who aren’t big seafood lovers!
The Real Marina Hotel & Spa, located inside the festival grounds, made a splash with its new image and tribute to the flavors of the sea, adding a premium touch to the overall experience.
Between the seaside atmosphere, Algarvian cuisine, live concerts, and breathtaking sunsets over the Ria Formosa, the Festival do Marisco is a must-do event in the Algarve — authentic, festive, and 100% Olhão.
Practical Tips
The festival attracts a massive crowd each year, and in 2024 & 2025, some evenings were sold out. To avoid disappointment, it’s best to book your tickets online in advance !

Festival Location
The festival takes place at the Jardim Pescador Olhanense, an ideal location situated between the market and the new Marina (Marina Ria Center), just steps away from the waterfront of the Ria Formosa in Olhão. This event is also the perfect opportunity for those who haven’t yet discovered Olhão to stroll through its picturesque streets, experience its unique atmosphere, and admire its cubist architecture.

Deejay Telio

Deejay Telio, whose real name is Telio Vitor Paz Monteiro, is an Angolan musician, producer and composer, born on 20 July 1996 in Luanda, Angola. He discovered music production at the age of 11 through the software FL Studio and launched his career in 2010, the year he adopted his stage name. His style blends afro-pop, kizomba and Lusophone rap.
He broke through to the wider public in 2015 with the track “Que Safoda” and his EP “Karanganhada”. In 2017, his single “Esfrega Esfrega” in collaboration with Deedz B reached 10 million views on YouTube in under three months, earning him a Gold Disc in January 2018. Building on this success, he concluded his Happy Tour in 2019 with a solo concert at the prestigious Coliseu dos Recreios in Lisbon, cementing his place among the most popular Lusophone artists of his generation.
Calema

Calema is a duo formed by brothers António (born 5 April 1992) and Fradique Mendes Ferreira (born 19 March 1987), originally from São Tomé and Príncipe, a small island state in Central Africa. Their name means “wave”, a reference to the characteristic swells of the African coastline. Passionate about music from childhood, the two brothers moved to Portugal to pursue musical studies, before settling in France in 2011.
Their international breakthrough came with the album “A Nossa Vez” (2017), whose title track became the most listened-to Portuguese-language song of the year on YouTube. Their next album, “Yellow” (2020), went straight to number one in Portugal, driven by the track “Te Amo”, certified 8 times platinum in Portugal and surpassing 55 million views on YouTube. Named Francophone Revelation of the Year at the NRJ Music Awards 2023, Calema have performed in prestigious venues including the Olympia and the Dôme de Paris.
Daniela Mercury

Daniela Mercury, whose real name is Daniela Mercuri de Almeida, is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, dancer and producer, born on 28 July 1965 in Salvador de Bahia. A graduate in dance from the Federal University of Bahia (UFBA), she began singing in bars at the age of 16, before joining the band of the legendary Gilberto Gil as a backing singer in 1988. She is regarded as the Queen of Axé music.
Her self-titled debut album (1991) sold 300,000 copies, but it was “O Canto da Cidade” (1992) that truly established her, selling over 1.2 million copies. In total, she has placed 14 singles at the top of the Brazilian charts and sold more than 12 million albums worldwide. She won the Latin Grammy for Best Brazilian Regional Music Album for “Balé Mulato – Ao Vivo” (2006), a distinction that crowns a career marked by performances on the world’s greatest stages.

Nininho Vaz Maia

Nininho Vaz Maia, whose real name is Avelino Vaz Maia, is a Portuguese singer and songwriter born on 25 February 1988 in Lisbon. From the gypsy community, he gained recognition by blending traditional flamenco with elements of modern pop, creating a unique style that has earned him widespread acclaim in Portugal.
His debut album, “Raízes”, released in 2021, was certified platinum and includes hit tracks such as “E Agora” and “Gosto de Ti”. In 2023, he released the EP “Aparentemente – Vol 1”, which continues to explore his distinctive fusion of musical genres. In 2024, Nininho expanded his influence by becoming a coach on The Voice Kids Portugal, where he led his artist to victory in his first season.
Ivandro

Ivandro, full name Joaquim Ivandro Paulo, is a Luso-Angolan singer and musician born on 26 July 1998 in Benguela, Angola. He began his musical career in 2013, gaining attention through his appearances on the TV shows Ídolos in 2015 and Got Talent Portugal in 2017. His music is characterized by a blend of contemporary R&B and pop, reflecting his diverse cultural influences.
In 2019, Ivandro released his first EP titled “Lua Cheia”. He collaborated with renowned artists such as Bispo on the track “Essa Saia”, which garnered over fifteen million streams. In 2022, his collaboration with Bárbara Bandeira on the song “Como Tu” achieved massive success, earning a nine-times platinum certification and over 36 million views on YouTube. His latest album, “Trovador”, was released in February 2024, solidifying his position in the Portuguese music scene. Ivandro also participated in the Festival da Canção in 2023 with the song “Povo”, placing fifth. Menos é Mais is a Brazilian pagode group formed in 2016 in Brasília. The group consists of Duzão (vocals), Gustavo Góes (percussion), Paulinho Félix (percussion), and Ramon Alvarenga (percussion). Their first album of original compositions, “Plano Piloto”, was released in 2021.
