At the foot of Mount São Miguel lies our small-scale holiday accommodation, Farm Lodges Olive.

Casa Jacaranda is a modernly furnished two-bedroom apartment with both a terrace at the front and a spacious private garden at the back. The front terrace is a wonderful place to enjoy the shade in the morning and the sun in the afternoon.

Detailed Description

Sliding doors at the front open into a spacious living room with a kitchen island and sitting area. The hallway leads to a luxurious bathroom with a walk-in (rain) shower, vanity, and toilet.

The bedroom has a comfortable bed that can be separated if needed. A spacious wardrobe provides ample storage for all your personal belongings. Sliding doors open onto the private courtyard garden (22m²), which is separated from the communal garden by plants and fencing.

Both the living room and bedroom are equipped with electric blackout shutters and air conditioning with a heat/cooling unit.

Casa Jacaranda is part of Farm Lodges Olive, the communal garden en pool are shared with two other apartments (8 people total, incl. Casa Jacaranda).

About the neighbourhood

We are located about 2.3km outside of Moncarapacho in the calm country side, at the foot of the mountain Cerro de São Miguel. The nearest beach is in Fuseta, a fishers village (8km), here you also have some nice restaurants to enjoy.

At about a 15 minute drive you have Olhão a fishers city, there are boat connections to the islands off the coast. 20 minutes the other way you have Tavira, this city is know as the Venice of the Algarve because of the Gilão river.

Ria Formosa nature reserve is located at the coast of the Algarve, you can see this when you land on Faro. With salt production, lagoons and many birds it is a nice location to go on a walk or go cycling.

If you like to explore around you have the Spanish border at 40 minute drive and Sevilla at an hour and a half (This is the closest “big” city, with Lisbon being at 3 hours).
